Rental Car
The best way to get around is by car. Taking a taxi for each visit to the beach, grocery store, restaurant, etc will ad up and will be a lot more expensive as renting a car. The most common rental car in Aruba is a Hyundai Accent. It will fit 5 passengers and will costs you about USD 35/40 per day. Prices do vary depending on the season, size and rental days of the car.

Road signs in Aruba are different from those in the US. Familiarize yourself with traffic rules and signs before driving. Roads are very slick after rain; drive cautiously.
Busses
Bus transportation on Aruba is relatively cheap. On the main roads frequently pass buses to and from the city or the beach. However no specific times can be given.
Taxi
Taxi’s are expensive and do not have meters since rates are based on destination rather than mileage and are set by the Aruba Department of Public. Always ask upfront how much the fare is.
The minimum fare for a ride is USD4.00. The cost for a taxi to wait for you is $3.00 for every 5 minutes. Island tours lasting one hour cost about USD45.00 for four people.
